Karol Mack Fine Art Oil Painter Biography

Karol Mack considers herself an artist of the Landscape. She paints both in the studio and on-location (en plein air). She considers herself a traditional realist heavily influenced by the Hudson River School of painting.
Karol's paintings are most recognizable by her use of color and composition. She uses tall trees against distant skies, winding streams, still lakes, tepee, and classical architecture- all of this images are selected in such a way as to communicate a sense of enchantment and response. Her use of perspective involves the viewer, and she has been characterized by her ability to create the qualities of stillness, silence, and unbounded voices that lead into the unknown. Karol's focus is to communicate the grandeur, and also the subtlety, of nature.
