Growing
up on a farm in Tennessee, Linda St. Clair developed an intimate
familiarity with rural life. "It is my desire that the images
I paint will resurrect memories of a time when urbanization
was not nearly so pervasive-when people were more at ease
with nature". Linda is a recipient of two Grumbacher Gold
Medals and has participated in numerous shows across the country
including the Salmagundi Club in New York, the Buffalo Bill
Art Show in Cody, and the Audubon Artists Annual Exhibition
in NewYork. Recent publications featuring St. Clair's work
are Southwest Art, the California Visitors Magazine, Cowboys
and Indians Magazine and Mountain Living. Senator Alan Simpson
and Bill Marriott of Marriott Hotels are collectors of her
work. Linda's career is in high gear.
Just
recently Linda participated in the Great Buffalo Hunt sponsored
by the C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, MT. She was one
of 26 artists chosen to paint a full size buffalo for the
museum. The buffalo will be on exhibit in 2005 and auctioned
off at the end of the year. She has recently been chosen to
participate in the "Dancing Bear" project for the National
Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, WY.
